Work placements:
a cornerstone of aivancity’s educational approach

Work placements enable students, throughout their course, to develop a career plan that suits them.
As these placements are compulsory, they add real value to students’ CVs. They enable students to develop both technical skills and soft skills, and to take on increasing responsibility, thereby ensuring a successful transition into the world of work once they graduate.
Le stage en entreprise
These work placements, during which students play an active part in the day-to-day running of their host organisation, provide them with a genuine opportunity to:
  • gradually put into practice the knowledge they have acquired through their studies at university
  • prepare for the realities of the business world even before graduating: they gain an understanding of organisational hierarchies, teamwork, professional conduct, etc.
  • refine their career plans and prepare for entry into the sector of their choice

Finding an internship: personalised support

From the start of the academic year, students receive support in their search for an internship and in shaping their career plans.
  • Career coaching
  • Recruitment fairs, networking events, talks
  • Regular updates on internship and job vacancies

Work placements: a clearly defined legal framework

The student retains their student status and must pay tuition fees; they are undertaking initial training.

Once the work placement agreement has been signed, the intern is entered in the host company’s staff register but does not have employee status.

For work placements in France, a stipend is compulsory if the intern’s time spent at the host organisation exceeds 308 hours (44 days), and the amount must be specified in the work placement agreement. For periods shorter than this, the stipend remains optional for the employer. For work placements abroad, please refer to the applicable legislation.

The placement may not exceed 132 days’ attendance at the host organisation.
