Create, collaborate, experiment: As they began the new academic year at the aivancity campus in Nice, first- and second-year Bachelor’s students were immediately thrown into the action.
During two days of team-building activities, they tackled their first challenge: imagining and building a business using artificial intelligence.
A Back-to-School Season Full of Action
This new academic year kicked off with great energy on the Nice campus.
First- and second-year Bachelor’s students gathered for two days designed to help them get to know each other in a different way: by working together on a concrete project.
The goal? To foster a genuine sense of community right from the start, while giving students a first glimpse of the experiential learning approach that will shape their academic journey.
First challenge: creating a business using AI
Divided into teams, the students were asked to devise an entrepreneurial project incorporating AI and to consider how this technology could address a need, enhance a value proposition, or give rise to new business models.
This approach allows students to quickly move beyond theory and grapple with very practical questions: How do you turn an idea into a project? What role should AI play in a business model? How do you collaborate, reach consensus, and collectively champion a vision?
Throughout the challenge, creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork converged around a shared field of experimentation: artificial intelligence applied to entrepreneurship.
Learning AI by Putting It into Practice
These two days set the tone for the year ahead.
At aivancity, learning about artificial intelligence isn’t limited to acquiring technical knowledge. It also involves understanding its uses, imagining its applications, and transforming technology into concrete solutions.
The Bachelor of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence, offered on the Nice campus, thus supports students in the gradual development of technical skills, as well as in their understanding of the business aspects and practical uses of AI.
From the very start of the semester, students have begun to experience this integration of skills, which is one of the hallmarks of aivancity’s educational approach.
A new academic year begins in Nice
Beyond the challenge, these two days were primarily an opportunity to forge the first bonds among a new class: getting to know one another, exchanging ideas, working with people from different backgrounds, and beginning to build a sense of community.
This initial experience kicks off a new academic year on the Nice campus, with one goal: to learn to understand AI, but above all to imagine what can be built with it.
