Strategies, cost structures and training programmes will be affected across all organisations, impacting numerous functions: production, finance, procurement, legal, human resources, logistics, marketing, sales, customer relations⊠AI is redefining practices and introducing new challenges.

Among the initial findings from the Observatory, task automation remains the central definition of AI for most senior executives. Furthermore, the roll-out of AI varies significantly across sectors, with a wide range of activities where it is already in use, particularly in manufacturing, finance, marketing and logistics. Generative AI solutions, such as ChatGPT, also play a crucial role in accelerating this adoption.
Executives also highlight significant ethical issues, with privacy and data security ranking among the main concerns. This study also highlights a major challenge: acquiring the skills needed to effectively support this technological transformation.
