Introduction

aivancity’s ‘Understanding AI and Big Data’ summer school enables students and sixth-formers, whether French or international, to discover Artificial Intelligence in terms of its technical and organisational implications, and to explore the issues and challenges it poses for society.

In addition to the presentations and lectures delivered by our lecturers and experts in the field, the programme places a strong emphasis on case studies, small-group work, insights from AI practitioners, and visits to companies involved in AI projects.

Participants in this summer school will also have the opportunity to undertake two projects in AI and data (e.g. chatbots, facial recognition, robotics, data-driven prediction, etc.).

Furthermore, participants will be able to familiarise themselves with the wide range of careers in AI (data scientist, data manager, data engineer, data mining, AI project manager, AI manager, AI architect…), roles that are rapidly expanding and will shape the job market of the future, and, more broadly, to understand how AI is transforming jobs and professional practices.

They will thus have the opportunity to talk to professionals and find out about career paths, entry requirements and career prospects in AI and data-related roles, as well as how to apply AI skills across different professions and sectors.

Location

  • The course is offered at our Paris Campus and our Nice Campus; company visits and cultural excursions may be organised in the region.
